I want to wish my father a Very Merry Birthday. Not only is he a great father but he is so good with Maksim which catapults him to Super Grandpa status. My father gave me what I call strict love. I didn't have much room for misbehaving growing up; getting in trouble with my father was worse than any corporal punishment out there (we had some tough Eastern European discipline). I see myself becoming more and more like him everyday. Besides sometimes looking into the mirror and seeing his face minus the beard; we have the same strut, intolerance for stupidity, good hearts (we are softies), and a drive to succeed to just name a few. At the end of the day I would have to say my sister and I turned out pretty good thanks to him. We are very lucky to have him as our Dad.
I thought it would be fun to share a few facts about my father, Perko:
- Puma....yes there is a serious obsession with the brand (I love it too so I think it's in the genetics)
- Clocks....another obsession, I once counted over 20 clocks in his bedroom, I wonder what the count it up to now?
- Everything must be white. White shoes, shirts, shorts, gadgets, etc. His wardrobe is at least consistent.
- He eats a minimum of 3 apples a day (I guess I can say the same about eating strawberries)
- If there is no steak then it does not qualify as a real meal
- Some of his favorite sayings include: "Thanks a million" and "fart in same bucket"(don't ask, I can't even explain it)
- And the best fact about my father is he is our Dad and he is very loved by my sister and I.
Love,
First Gen Fam
Happy Birthday to someone really special! Cherishing memories of swimming pools and ice cream! Thanks Cika Perko!!!
